Hausinger’s second hat trick extends points streak to four games
Christian Hausinger of Anchorage collected his second hat trick of the season to extend his points streak to four games for the University of Wisconsin-River Falls hockey team.
The junior defenseman had three goals and an assist in a 6-2 victory over Wisconsin-Stout in NCAA D3. This was his first hat trick since the season opener on Nov. 1.
He was the centerpiece of a two-goal spurt in a four-minute span with the primary assist on a power-play goal at the end of the first period and scoring a goal with the extra attacker at the beginning of the second period.
Three nights later he racked up two assists in a 4-0 win over St. Olaf.
Hausinger, of Dimond High fame, has compiled nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points in 17 games.
He leads his team in assists and points.
