The sophomore designated hitter mashed his first tater with one out in the third inning to extend his team’s lead to 3-1.
He made it 4-1 with a solo blast in the fifth inning to push the lead to 4-1.
King, of Lathrop High fame, finished game 2-for-3 with two RBIs as he led Porterville to a 6-2 victory over Siskiyous in California.
It was Porterville’s first win after opening the season with three straight losses. They were also the first two home runs of the season for the Pirates.
