Steinhilpert pushes points streak to five games for Golden Wolves

Anchorage’s Amber Steinhilpert continues to pile up points and win faceoffs for the Alvernia University women’s hockey team.

The freshman forward pushed her points streak to five games after recording a goal and two assists in games against NCAA D3 rivals Wilkes and Cortland.

Steinhilpert, of South High fame, has recorded two goals and five assists for seven points in her last five games. Compare that to her first six games when she tallied only one goal.

Two of her goals this season have come on the power play.

She has won 159 of 296 faceoffs.

Steinhilpert also ranks second on the team with 16 blocked shots in 11 games.
