Swayman leads NCAA in saves, games and minutes with Maine
Anchorage’s Jeremy Swayman became the first NCAA D1 goalie to reach 700 saves on the season after he made 32 stops for the University of Maine hockey team in a 3-2 win over Nebraska-Omaha.
The junior netminder improved to 10-8-4 on the season, with his 22 appearances ranking No. 1 in the country.
Swayman also ranks No. 1 nationally in minutes (1,329) and saves (726).
He owns 39 career wins, which ranks No. 1 among active Alaskans.
Swayman is a 2017 fourth-round draft pick of the Boston Bruins.
