Woods named to ECHL All-Star Game for Kansas City Mavs
Justin Woods of Fairbanks is headed to the ECHL All-Star Game for the first time.
The third-year defenseman will represent the Kansas City Mavericks on the Western Conference team.
Woods, of UAF fame, has amassed four goals and 16 assists for 20 points in 29 games.
“Justin has been an anchor on the blue line for us this year and a great leader in the locker room,” said Mavericks Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations John-Scott Dickson.
Woods has matched his points total from last season in 15 fewer games.
The 25-year-old spent his first two seasons in the ECHL with the Jacksonville Icemen.
