Marty Rygh was a standout athlete at Dimond in four sports. He has earned a varsity letter for multiple years in Swim & Dive, Cross Country Running, Cross country Skiing and Track & Field. He was a member of the state winning cross country running team this year. He placed 5th at state for Diving, he went to state in cross country skiing and would have likely been a top finisher in the mile and two mile for track. Though Marty preformed well in his state meets, he was riddled with injuries this year. He slipped off the diving board and hurt his ankle this fall. Yet, was able to fight back with only a few weeks of practice in both sports. He then broke his collar bone in December, but recovered in time to compete at Regions and earn a spot on the state team. Marty was looking forward to Track and Field season as a senior injury free with goals to beat his brothers times. Marty is recognized by his coaches as being a hard worker, positive role model and never a complainer. Marty plans to attend Montana State University and enjoy many sports with recreational leagues.
