North Pole High School’s Gavin Fischer concludes a brilliant career for the baseball team. The Team Captain played varsity since his freshman year, was All Conference as a junior, and ASAA Player of the game at the 2019 State Tournament. Last season he led the Patriots on the mound with a 2.14 ERA while tossing 42 strikeouts. He also led patriots with his bat, hitting for a .401 batting average last season. His senior season was canceled due to the COVID-19 virus.  Gavin was on an honor student all four years. He is committed to play for baseball for the Southwestern Iowa Spartans this fall while pursuing a degree in Nursing.
