She flies, fishes and skis: Tobin headed to Dartmouth

Garvee Tobin of Service High School excelled as a Nordic skier for the Cougars. She placed fifth overall at the 2020 state ski championships — her third consecutive Top 5 finish — as the Cougars won the state title. Three times she was named the team’s Most Valuable Girls Skier and she captained the squad her junior and senior years. She also qualified for Nordic Nations/Scando Cup in Falun, Sweden in 2020. Garvee will ski for Division I Dartmouth College. She also earned a student’s pilot license in 2019 and has been a commercial fisherwoman in Bristol Bay since 2014.
