Wasilla High School’s Waylon Payne was a key member of the 2019 Warrior squad that took home the school’s first-ever baseball State Championship.  The catcher, infielder, and pitcher was a  three-year varsity baseball player and also a two-year varsity football player. Waylon was named Captain of the 2020 team (the season was canceled due to COVID-19). He will be playing baseball for Arizona Christian University this fall and plans to study business.
