Hebard sets career highs with 28 points, 15 rebounds in Turkey
Ruthy Hebard of Fairbanks had her greatest game since joining the Turkish Super League.
The 6-foot-4 rookie forward poured in 12-of-17 shots on her way to scoring a career-high 28 points to go with a career-high 15 rebounds as Nesibe Aydin won 75-58.
She accomplished it all against a Turkish opponent sporting four players with WNBA experience.
Hebard, of West Valley High fame, has recorded a double-double in all four of her games in Turkey.
She ranks third in the league in both scoring (25.8) and rebounding (11.8).
Hebard is shooting 66.2 percent and has two teammates in the top 10 in the league in assists per game.
What’s more, she is staying out of foul trouble to assure she stays on the court an average of 36 minutes per game.
