Griffin gobbles up double-double to power Caps win in Australia
Kelsey Griffin of Eagle River is still feasting on opponents down under.
In the mist of her ninth season in Australia’s Women’s National Basketball League – and her 11th overall as a pro player – recorded her first double-double of the new season.
This was just her third game after missing the first two because of a back injury.
Griffin posted an 11-point, 11-rebound performance to lead the Canberra Capitals 68-63 win over the Sydney Uni Flames.
The 6-foot-2 forward is a four-time WNBL champion and former league MVP.
Griffin, of Chugiak High fame, has amassed 2,715 career points and 1,612 career rebounds during her years in Australia.
