Hebard eats up competition in Turkey, earns player of the week
Rookie Ruthy Hebard of Fairbanks earned player-of-the-week honors in the Turkish Super League for the second time this season.
In two games for Nesibe Aydin she had 34 points and 20 rebounds against Besiktas, and 24 points and 17 rebounds against Cankaya.
Nesibe won both games and is tied for second place in the league with a 9-1 record.
Hebard, of West Valley High fame, leads the league with 99 field goals and ranks second in rebounds per game (13.8) and fifth in points per game (22.4).
The 6-foot-4 forward has made 99-of-168 field goals for a .589 shooting percentage.
