Derrick Wilson of Anchorage continues to be a difference maker for his new team in the Turkish Basketball League.

The 6-foot-1 starting guard ranks among the league leaders in points, assists and steals to help Sigortam start the season 4-0.

It is the only undefeated team in the league.

Sigortam’s average margin of victory is just 5.5 points, including a two-point victory in Round 3 and one-point victory in Round 4.

Wilson, of East High fame, ranks No. 3 in points (20.4), assists (6.3) and steals (2.5) per game.

He leads his team with 35.8 minutes per game, showcasing his coach’s trust to keep him on the floor for as long as possible.

In last week’s 80-79 win over Akhisar, the Alaskan scored 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting. He also went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.

The former University of Marquette star added five rebounds, five assists and one steal.
