Hale records first double-double as pro player in Germany
DaJonee Hale of Anchorage is back in Germany for her second season of pro basketball and it didn’t take long for her to make personal history.
The 5-foot-8 playmaker bagged her first double-double with 12 points and a career-high 11 rebounds for Bamberg in a 55-52 loss to Jahn Muenchen.
This was the second year guard’s first double-double in 23 career pro games.
She leads her team in scoring at 13 points per game and ranks second in rebounds at 8 per game.
As a rookie in 2018-2019, Hale averaged 16.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game and led Bamberg to the German B League finals.
Hale, of Houston High fame, has career highs of 30 points, 11 rebounds and six assists as a pro.
She was the 2018 NAIA National Player of the Year for Central Methodist University and led the nation in scoring at 28.8 points per game.
