Allison Green

The WCHA weekend series between Bemidji State and St. Cloud State took place in Minnesota, but Alaska hockey took center stage after Anchorage’s Allison Green and Clair DeGeorge both came up clutch to help each of their team pick up points.

In the first game, St. Cloud State freshman Green picked up her first college point in a 3-1 win on home ice.

Green, of South High fame, helped set up the game-tying goal 2:22 into the second period. The goal pumped new life into the Huskies, who beat Bemidji State for the second time in three meeting this season.

For Green, this was the first time her named appeared in the scoring column in seven college games. She previously had a game with two blocked shots and another game with four faceoff wins.

Clair DeGeorge

On the flip side, DeGeorge is a stat sheet stuffer for Bemidji State.

The senior forward scored her fourth goal of the season in a 2-2 draw in the second game, finding the back of the net late in the second period to get her team on the scoreboard.

Bemidji State won the shootout to take an extra point.

The goal DeGeorge scored gave her 75 career points on 27 goals and 48 assists in 118 games.

With 10 games left in the regular season, DeGeorge is knocking on the door of the top-10 in school history for all-time points and assists.
