RIT hockey has won 16 of 20 games when Moretz records a point
Just call Caleb Moretz of Fairbanks the X factor for the Rochester Institute of Technology hockey team.
As he goes, so go the Tigers.
RIT improved to 16-4 since 2019 when the forward records a point after he racked up a goal and assist in a 3-2 win over Canisius in Atlantic Hockey Association action in New York.
Moretz, of West Valley High fame, owns 2-2-4 scoring totals in seven games. The team is 3-0 during that stretch.
His shot off the Canisius goalie’s stick led to his team’s second goal after a teammate cleaned up in front of the net to make it 2-0 in the first period.
The Tigers scored on the power play goal at the end of the opening period after Moretz blasted a one-timer inside the left post to give RIT a 3-0 lead.
