Although he hadn’t played a hockey game in nearly a month, Anchorage’s Isaiah Saville brushed off the rust against Colorado College.
Then the University of Nebraska Omaha goaltender brushed aside 31 of 33 shots to highlight a 3-2 victory in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.
Saville, of West High fame, is unbeaten in his last four appearances and improved his season record to 6-3-1 in 10 games.
This was Omaha’s first game since Dec. 21.
The 6-foot-1 sophomore netminder is on pace to better last season’s stats when it comes to winning percentage, goals against average and save percentage.
