Bailey scores 21, inches closer to 800-point career benchmark
Four 3-pointers and two dunks paved the way for Jeremiah Bailey of Fairbanks to register his second 20-point performance of the season.
The University of the Pacific senior guard scored 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting in an 84-57 victory over Portland in the West Coast Conference.
There was a stretch when Bailey made seven straight shots from the field – the last four of the first half and the first three of the second half.
He scored 14 points in the first half, including two dunks. The first one came off a steal and the second off an offensive rebound.
Bailey, of Monroe Catholic High fame, now has 784 career points – 400 in three seasons at NCAA D1 Pacific and 384 in one season at Pima JC.
