Kornstad stands out on crowded Northwestern-St. Paul squad

As one of 18 players this season to see the court for the University of Northwestern-St. Paul men’s basketball team, Jace Kornstad of Nikiski has to find a way to stand out among the crowd.
Knocking down 3-point shots has separated him from the rest of the pack.
Kornstad, of Nikiski High fame, leads the NCAA D3 team in 3-pointer buckets (10) and 3-point shooting percentage (.417) after the first five games.
The sophomore shooter went 4-for-4 from downtown and finished with a career-high 14 points in a 90-62 win over Lakewood in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.
