Faith Widman of Fairbanks liked winning so much she did it again.
The Oregon Tech University junior cross-country runner has posted victories in back-to-back meets to start the NAIA season.
These are the first two wins for the Alaskan in 15 career starts.
Widman, of West Valley High fame, won the Lane Community College Invitational in Eugene, Oregon, over the weekend in impressive fashion, posting a 35-second win in the women’s 5-K field that featured 27 runners.
She clocked a time in 18:37.7 with teammate Delani Dietrich second in 19:12.5.
At the Bushnell Invitational three weeks ago in Cottage Grove, Oregon, Widman went even faster, crossing in 18:23.3.
