Doutrive goes for 17 & 10 for his first double-double since 2019
Anchorage’s Devonaire Doutrive made his first start of the season for Boise State and delivered his first double-double in two years.
His big game was for naught, however, as Nevada bucked the Broncos 89-82 in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Conference tournament.
Doutrive scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, his second double-double in 45 career games and his first since 2019 when he played for the University of Arizona.
The 6-foot-5 junior guard went 6-for-11 from the field, 4-for-4 from the line and added three assists.
Doutrive, of West High fame, drained his only 3-pointer a minute into the second half to pull Boise State within 51-50. But from there the Broncos converted only one field goal over the next eight minutes.
He has scored double figures in three of the last four games for Boise State (18-8).
