Tolan racks up four-point weekend to key Elmira series sweep

Anchorage’s Tristen Tolan is wrapping up her college hockey career in style.
The senior forward has bagged a career-high goal total while stuffing the stat sheet with a career-best points-per-game average for Elmira University.
In one of her final weekends on the ice, Tolan racked up three goals and an assist in a two-game series sweep over Wilkes University.
She now has a career-high eight goals on the season, bettering her previous high of seven set as a sophomore.
Tolan, of South High fame, has been a staple for Elmira over the last four seasons with 24 goals and 35 assists for 59 points in 91 career games.
Meanwhile, Elmira has posted a 79-11-5 record during her career.
The Soaring Eagles advanced to the NCAA D3 national title game in 2018. The last two national tournaments have been canceled because of COVID.
In the series against Wilkes, Tolan bagged a goal and an assist in Game 1. She had two goals in Game 2. It was her fifth career two-goal game.
She has registered 16 points in eight games this season, the highest points-per-game average of her career by a more than a full point.
