Ruthy Hebard

Fairbanks’ Ruthy Hebard recorded the first playoff double-double of her career.

Her 22-point, 14-rebound performance lifted third-seeded Nesibe Aydin to a 71-68 win over second seed Galatasara in Game 1 of the Turkish Super League semifinals.

Hebard converted 8-of-15 field goals and 6-of-8 free throws. She added four steals, three assists and five offensive rebounds.

Nesibe lost Game 2 of the series 70-68, handing the Alaskan her first playoff loss in four games in Turkey.

Hebard scored 11 points on 4-of-10 shooting and grabbed six rebounds.

The 6-foot-4 forward is now averaging 14.3 points and 9.8 rebounds in four playoff games.
