Dolman’s two goals, Vargas’ shutout carry Centralia to 5-0 win

Wasilla’s Chloe Dolman and Anchorage’s Marisol Vargas teamed up to lead the Centralia College women’s soccer team to a 5-0 win in the NWAC.

Dolman netted two goals and Vargas was in net to record her fifth shutout of the season as the Alaskans carried the Blazers, who moved to third place in the West Region.

Dolman, a freshman midfielder out of Wasilla High fame, came into the game with zero points in seven appearances with Centralia.

But she found the back of the net in the seventh minute to get the party started. She scored her second goal in the 56th minute to make it 3-0.

Vargas, a freshman goalkeeper out of West High, has now delivered back-to-back shutouts. She has made eight saves combined.

She owns a sparkling 0.93 goals against average in nine games en route to posting a 3-1-4 record in net.
