Wickersham publishes NFL book on Brady, Belichick dynasty
Longtime ESPN sports writer and Anchorage native Seth Wickersham has published his first book and it’s already receiving rave reviews.
It’s Better to Be Feared: The New England Patriots Dynasty and the Pursuit of Greatness chronicles the Patriots between 2001-19 primarily under the leadership of quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick.
“Seth Wickersham has managed to do the impossible: he has pulled off the definitive document of the Belichick/Brady dynasty,” sports journalist Bill Simmons wrote.
The 528-page hardcover book is published by Liveright and was just released.
Wickersham, of Service High fame, graduated from the University of Missouri in 2000. He stays connected with the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame and is a senior writer at ESPN. His work primarily covers the National Football League though he has covered a variety of topics including suicidal Kenyan runners in Anchorage.
Wickersham was a finalist for the National Magazine Award for reporting in 2018.
