Recent Air Force Academy graduate Paige Blackburn of Soldotna has been named to the U.S. Track and Field All-Academic Team for a third time, the school announced today. The reigning Mountain West champion in the javelin completed her four-year career with a 3.50 GPA in civil engineering.

Former Colorado State University track star Janay DeLoach of Eielson Air Force Base was the center of attention at a recent Olympic sendoff party for the London Games. DeLoach will compete in the women’s long jump and is a serious medal threat.
