Every year, the public plays an important role in determining the inductees into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame. The cumulative public vote will be submitted on the public ballot along with each selection panel member’s ballot.
The selection panel will meet to review the public results and cast their ballots on December 7th 2025. The Class of 2026 will be announced during the week of December 10th. The Class of 2026 will be honored at our annual ceremony in April of 2026 at the Anchorage Museum. Check this site for date and details.
The 49 Candidates
Since the start of the Hall of Fame in 2006, more than 600 individuals have received votes from the selection committee, inductees and the public.
The 49 individual candidates displayed on the public voting page were chosen by a panel of Alaska sports experts, including members of the Hall of Fame selection panel and a collection of athletes, coaches and media members from across the state after careful consideration of public feedback and results from years of Alaska Sports Hall of Fame public voting.
We’ll keep the number of featured candidates at 49 and hold an annual review to consider changes. We’ll continue to provide the “write-in” option to vote for someone not included on the candidate page.
Make a Recommendation
In addition to participating in the public vote, you can submit a recommendation for consideration any time of the year.
